We would like to supply some factual information on the Columbus and Bartholomew County real estate market. This information reflects activity on the South Central Listing Exchange for the period 1-1-09 - 3-26-09. While the closed sales are fewer than we might normally expect for this time of year, the active listings of 474 are within the normal range for this county. A gorgeous day in south central Indiana with some optimism cautiously developing with the onset of a better season and much better interest rates. Mortgage interest rates have crept into levels to get excited about in the past 10 days. Judging by the amount of showing activity and open house guests during the month of March, there are high expectations concerning real estate and the opportunities it is presenting.
